Farrow Delivers Toys to SickKids Hospital
November 15, 2016
Farrow’s Community Caring team in Toronto has made a generous donation of 175 different sets of toys to SickKids hospital, along with a cheque for $1,135. For SickKids, each $1 invested in research provides an extra $3 in external research funding. The money was raised by Farrow’s Ontario regional offices hosting pie throwing events in support of Fort McMurray and other charities.
The toys were donated by Farrow Global Logistics client International Playthings LLC and chosen to be donated to SickKids. The Community Caring team in Toronto first began to sort the toys at the Farrow Global Logistics warehouse, sorting through two pallets of toys to prep them for SickKids. The toys were delivered to the SickKids Hospital in downtown Toronto, where they will be used in various playrooms in the hospital to entertain patients and siblings of patients when they visit. Select toys will also be used in their Treasure Box Program.
SickKids is Canada's most research-intensive children’s hospital and the largest centre dedicated to improving children's health in the country. Every year, more than 100,000 children come to SickKids for life-saving care and the number continues to grow. By working together and with our partners in the community, we can lead transformational change that will improve the lives of children everywhere and create a better world for all of us.
