CITT / Refined Sugar from the European Union
June 27, 2012
On May 30 2012, the Federal Court of Appeal allowed the application for judicial review and set aside the CITT’s November 1, 2010 expiry order for refined sugar from sugar cane and sugar beets in granulated, liquid and powdered form from Denmark, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, collectively referred to as the European Union (EU). This matter has been returned to the CITT for reconsideration.
The CITT therefore has given notice that it will recommence the expiry review of the EU order. Any firm, organization, person or government wishing to participate in this proceeding must file a notice of participation with the Secretary on or before July 3, 2012.
The complete notice and relevant dates can be found on the CITT website.
