Repairs to Cargo Primary Lane at Blaine may Cause Delays to Truck Traffic

February 6, 2018

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has released the following notice informing importers of potential cargo delays due to repairs in Blaine:

CSMS #18-000119
Title: Repairs to Cargo Primary Lane at Blaine may Cause Delays to Truck Traffic
Date: 2/6/2018 2:55:51 PM

Severe damage to infrastructure in Cargo Lane 3 at Pacific Highway, Blaine, will require extensive repairs over the next two to four weeks.  The crossing is currently limited to two lanes, and repairs may require intermittent closure of additional lanes.  Although CBP will make every effort to mitigate the situation, delays during peak traffic volumes are likely.

We encourage consideration of alternative ports of entry, and monitoring Border Wait Times at the following websites:

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)

British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure

For questions, contact the Pacific Highway duty supervisor at (360) 332-2334.
