Certain Corrosion-Resistant Steel Sheet Notice of Preliminary Determinations

On March 20, 2020, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), pursuant to subsection 38(1) of the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA), made preliminary determinations of dumping and subsidizing with respect to certain corrosion resistant steel sheet from Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.

Provisional duties will now be payable on the subject goods that are released from customs on or after March 20, 2020. Where amounts of subsidy are considered insignificant, the investigation will continue but provisional countervailing duties will not be payable.

Additional information about these investigations is contained in a Statement of Reasons, which will be available within 15 days on the CBSA website.
