United Way Day of Caring 2010

Farrow kicked off its first annual Day of Caring volunteer initiative with the United Way.

This year Russell A. Farrow Limited took part in the United Way sponsored Day of Caring. Our four regional centres participated: Ayr, Edmonton, Toronto and Windsor. The idea is to bring together business and community based organizations.

Approximately fifty-five employees in groups of five to ten employees were able to use the volunteer time that Russell A. Farrow offers to assist in activities that they might not otherwise volunteer for, e.g. assisting with preparing and serving lunch at soup kitchens, washing chairs, washing walls etc. Often included was a tour of the facility in question, as well as an explanation of the services they provide.
